Note: the currency detection used to select a default currency on the main site relies on a third-party IP lookup service (ipapi.co) rather than a cookie. It’s disclosed in our Privacy Policy rather than this table, since it doesn’t itself store anything in your browser.

3. Strictly Necessary vs. Optional

The cookies and session mechanisms marked “strictly necessary” above are required for core functionality, like completing a purchase or submitting a support request, and can’t be disabled without breaking that functionality. Functional cookies (currency and language preference) improve your experience but aren’t required for the site to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only set after you provide consent through our cookie banner.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. For EU/UK visitors, our cookie consent banner (powered by CookieYes) presents these choices on first visit, allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout and support ticket submission from working correctly, this is a general limitation of how these features work, not specific to WpPatrol.
